Adequate and necessary due to non-existent Toyota part.
These lights work fine after putting in bulbs for which the specifications are not given in the product description. The missing bulbs cannot be installed once the lights are in the the vehicle because the bulb placement is quite different from the standard taillights and the car body does not allow deviation in bulb placement. But then, why should I have to put in bulbs? What was the point of buying LED taillight assemblies when I have to add non-LED reverse and turn signal bulbs? And of course, I had to install the lights so I would have brake lights on the way to the auto parts store. Huh.
When gently bumping a light fixture to align it in the car body, the lens cracked. Wow, this is very thin and delicate plastic, and there is no support for the lens in the edges of the fixture. This lack of edge support goes to another peeve, where the fixture does not align with the bodywork and shimming will be required to get the fixture to look right.
I guess I shouldn't complain too much, as I am trying to repair a 15 yo car with a broken taillight wire, and Toyota lists every part for this car EXCEPT for the little socket wiring piece from the main harness to the taillight. You got me on this one, Toyota. Hence the need for these after-market lights.
