I purchased this phone for one major reason, the speaker phone ability on it. I have tried to use headset phones but have found the expense for a good one was to high and the lower cost ones were to problematic. This phone works great and has more options then I would ever need, but the reason I purchased it was for the speaker phone. That option is great save for one strange thing, the phone has a tendency to go silent when you are on a call and there is silence on the other end for any brief time. So you think the call may have dropped, other then that this is a great phone for your desk or office area. The speed dial buttons are very handy and can be programed with common numbers you need to use often. It also has a hold option so if you are looking for papers you can put them on hold so that the person you are speaking to doesn't have to listen to you riffling through papers. Over all I would say this is a great phone for a home office or even a small work office as well.Read full review
The phone has a lot of good features like mute, hold, flash, redial as well as number programming and a blinking light that tells you that someone is already on the line. What is annoying is there is no backlighting of the information display and the display hard to read in direct sunlight that comes in at an angle. If that is all I have to complain about, it's a pretty good phone.

The Phone is good and it's the durable kind (old school) that won't break easily. It has every feature plus. It's very clear and has easy to read buttons, the only drawback is that you need AA batteries for the caller ID feature but when that was first invented this was awesome because then the ID feature was a separate box usually (remember?). So this is the perfect backup phone for the cordless v-tech I now use.

Phone works well, adjustable ringer and speaker . Clear sound on calls, Can adjust speaker up or down as needed during a call. Plenty of room to add contacts. A lighted screen would make it better so you can see who is calling at night.

I have used the AT&T Corded Speakerphone CL2909 for about one month using out-of-the box operation and have not programmed in any of the features yet. The basic phone offers a speakerphone which is used daily and I have had very little trouble with that. One party has said that occasionally they hear static or the speaker sound very briefly cuts out. This was a $9.99 phone so I am surprised at how well it does work, especially considering that it was shipped in the original thin cardboard box as would be found when placed on the original retailer’s shelf. The box arrived all torn up and shredded in areas, yet so far I have had no trouble with this phone. The phone looks good and professional sitting on my desk, and I tend to use the speakerphone rather than the handset for making and receiving calls. A user's manual came with the phone.Read full review
