This is the 2nd replacement I have purchased. I had read the OEM switch will have issues down the road so i decided to change it out. First switch must have been defective as every time I went to start the truck, the switch was lazy to pull back from start position. I only left that switch in for a month. 2nd one works better. Hardest part is getting to the switch. Removing the panel under the steering wheel is the hardest. Easily damaged not using proper tools. The plastic panel tools are best. NO screwdrivers. Pay attention to the position of the gear in new switch and the position of the ignition when reinstalling the switch. I have to be in the ON , #2 position. ALSO MAKE SURE REPLACEMENT SWITCH HAS GRAY PANEL.

I am not sure this is a factory replacement as the gears are not the same as the original. The gears on this item are shorter and doesn't give the same feel as the original Ignition Switch that came with my Trailblazer. I would ask to see the gearing first to make sure it is as the original switch.

This is a very nice switch. The instructions are wrong as usual. Most of the instructions on car parts are wrong. But if you take a minute and put it in correctly it works. It would be nice if some where on the internet they would mention that this switch does not do any work in the starter circuit. It is all controlled by the computer and the fuel pump. I had to replace the fuel pump. Now every things works. Thanks Russ

The new ignition starter switch arrived earlier then expected, that was good. I learned how to install the switch on youtube and installed the switch myself, was not difficult. I turned on my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer and turned on the ac/heater blower and it worked. I also notice that the abs and brake warning lights were off which lets me know my vehicle is work right. I am not a mechanic so I am glad that I can do most repairs myself.
