Great sound, double key tenor, thumb slips but I'm working on a solution.
It is a good sounding instrument. It comes with a thumb rest which you will definitely have to use. I couldn't find the right spot for it so i had to do something else.This instrument is much heavier than a soprano so it will quickly slide off of your thumb making you miss the holes with your fingers. I saw a video on how to make a sling out of women's hair ties so i did that and am going to put some grip like sand paper or something on the back to keep it from slipping off of my thumb.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

As a beginner its size is yes, overwhelming but the sound makes me keep playing, more like it challenged me to play better, if that makes sense - I did have to take a break every now and then to stretch my hands, fingers though... I loved the rich deep sound it's great for out doors and for adult sized begginers. Or if you already play a soprano the fingering is the same.
