I used this as a sensor for my dust collector to detect when the bin fills up. It is VERY similar to the one used by another company in its unit. It operates on a range of voltage. It can carry 100mA of current to a load and the LED flashing strobe I used was 40mA and well within range. It has 4 leads 1 power 2 ground 3 NC and 4 NO. It also has a green led on the sensor to indicate power and a yellow to indicate the sensor is detecting an object. It is an IR sensor and has a screw adjustment. I did 3d print a gasket for my dust collector to seal the sides of the 18mm drilled hole in the top of the bin lid and it works well.
Price is right but there is a number of blemishes on the face of the sensor. Works with a basic approach on the test bench but not sure how it will fair installed in its intended place and function. Since the device relies on sending and receiving an infra red signal I’m concerned that this could be an issue. Time will tell
