This cover significantly reduces HVAC noise, with at least a 10 decibel drop. It noticeably lessened the intrusive hum of my unit, making my patio more enjoyable. Installation was mostly easy, though I needed to cut the blanket and seal the edges with duct tape to fit around some pipes.
