The directions were easy to read in English, not some poor translation that might be seen in other electronic devices. The design is very nice; it's light, sleek, has a sturdy clip, and has many options for operation. The controls are easy to locate and use. The charge cable was long enough to snake around and keep out of the way. Also, the charger that was included is a definite step up from the cheap ones that I'm used to using! It has good volume, and is especially useful using the easy-to-use FM function. Some static is noticed at times. I have not used the lighting off or voice off features. My suggestions for improvement would be to move the charge indicator light to the leading edge of the device, somewhere that it can be seen easily. It currently requires me to lean forward and look up to see the indicator light. I can't see it in my periphery while driving. And it's subdued enough that I actually had to pull over, take the device off of my visor and turn it all around to even find the light. The only annoying feature that I have found is related to the voice commands and especially the phone commands. The device misinterprets my command to dial a particular contact, announces that it is dialing a different contact and begins dialing without verifying that it is the correct number. So far, the device has not recognized ANY of my contacts correctly from my voice, and has begun dialing someone else every time. However, it does recognize the redial and call back commands. Last suggestion is regarding the device contact name-to-voice quality. When announcing calls, it is very difficult to recognize who the incoming caller is. In fact, I'm almost positive that the wrong contact name was announced on one incoming call. Overall, I am glad that I purchased this device and would recommend it to anyone for its value and design.Read full review

Setting up is a breeze had no problems to do so. The sound you get out of this puppy is great, considering that the speakers are intended for amplifying voice, have not used it for music, but I am not expecting to get bass thunder out of them, the voice from the person calling you comes in crisp with good volume. The FM transmitter does the job, the voice from the caller will be coming out from the speakers in you car. Aside of the normal voice commands you have at your disposal for placing calls and whatnot, you can access google now thru your device, just click and hold the main button until you hear a the beep, ask a question and you will hear the answer directly from the device, also the directions from the GPS lady on your phone will also come from the device. I personally liked these two features. (be sure you have a google now enabled smartphone) I am giving it 4 start rating because the microphone cuts off on some calls and I dont come clear on the other side of the call, seems that that my voice is heard metallic and kinda robotic to other person. all in all is a good option for upgrading your old car for the price.Read full review

I am usually a bit apprehensive when I try out new ideas and products. This product is almost as easy to set up as plug and play. Once installed correctly it performs above and beyond my expectations. I would not hesitate buying one for my son if he needed it. For those who have cars without Bluetooth phone hookups this is the way to go. In fact, some cars that have Blurtooth phone hookups, but they are so complicated that some people buy this as its better than factory quality. The speakers are first class and right in front and above so tou get a direct clear audio sound. The mike is there also so you can talk normal without shouting. Oh, and the company has great customer support, they answer the phone and help you if you need them

Having done lots of research and having read many reviews -- comparing Jabra Freeway and Motorola Roadster 2 -- I decided on the Jabra (instead of the Motorola) because the Jabra had 3 speakers and 2 microphones. I also did look at the Motorola Roadster Pro too (which has 4 microphones), but overall was not as impressed as with the Freeway and Roadster 2. Con: Noise cancellation. I purchased the Jabra Freeway because of various reviews that touted how well the 2 microphones performed noise cancellation - that the people on the other end of the phone connection expressed how clearly they could hear the voice of the person talking into the Jabra device. I have not had any such "clear" result. With me just sitting in the parked vehicle (engine not running) I have tried moving the Jabra into all possible positions on the sun visor, and even into locations not on the sun visor, but I could never find any sweet-spot location where the person on the other end of the phone connection could clearly hear me. And being thoughtful to talk directly at the Jabra device (in some tests holding the Jabra device in my hands just a few inches from my face) did not make the audio any more clear to the person on the other end of the phone. Con: Voice commands. it is like the Jabra device can not hear me very well (even when I am sitting in the parked vehicle with the engine off). It takes multiple attempts to get it to recognize the word "redial". Worse, the Jabra device has mistaken many other of its recognized keywords as thought I had said "redial" (I have had to explain quite a few times that I did not intend to call the person). For this reason, I only use the Jabra voice commands if I intend to perform "redial" (it either recognizes that I said "redail", or it mistakes whatever I did say as "redail", or it just does not recognize my voice command at all). Con: It picks up audio from other broadcast radio waves. I can sit in my garage and listen to conversations of neighbors 4 houses away. The Jabra device did not say that it had "connected" to another bluetooth device, so I doubt that the neighbors just have an idle bluetooth headset that is just transmitting -- what I am hearing sounds more like it is being picked up by a wireless intercom system. Pro: Reading text messages. I am pleased with how the Jabra device reads back incoming texts; actually, I was rather impressed, but I may have simply had unrealistically low expectations. Result: I consider it "Okay-ish" because for my purposes it will be okay -- for use when I am driving in a State that requires hands-free device when talking on the telephone, so that I can receive work related calls when I am driving around while on vacation. An oddity that no one seems to mention (and will be a problem on all similarly capable devices) is how a device that allows for 2 bluetooth connections will be constantly scanning to connect to a 2nd bluetooth device -- I drive around town, and the Jabra's blue light flashes every time it detects yet another bluetooth signal in the area. I am still seriously thinking of purchasing a Motorola Roadster 2 -- then decide which one works better. It is odd, I started out my search really liking the Motorola Roadster 2, and only purchased the Jabra Freeway because of how many reviews stated how awesome the 2 microphone system was a noise cancellation and how clearly the person on the other end of the telephone call would be able to hear my voice. Maybe I should have gone with the Motorola, but maybe the Motorola would be no better (could even be worse) than the Jabra is. Really wish that I could have easily (cheaply) tested the Motorola and the Jabra side-by-side myself (no one online seems to have done such a comparison) -- then I could have purchased the one that best suited my usage needs.Read full review

I bought this speakerphone unit mainly for handsfree phone use in a car that does not have the bluetooth built in. For the phone features, it works very well. I can address an incoming call by saying "answer" or "ignore", or by clicking on the unit itself, but I love that I can answer it without taking my hand off the wheel. It tells me the person calling by using my iPhone's contact list. I can also activate Siri by pushing the Voice button once, and can verbally dial a phone number and place a call. I can also ask Siri to read a text to me or to send a text, although I don't plan to use this except if really, really needed. Again, I love the safety and convenience of not having to take my eyes off the road to look at my phone. I have not attempted to connect the unit to the car speaker via FM radio, and I don't plan to since the speaker on the Jabra is pretty good. Comments from people on the other end of the call is that when I initiate the call to them, they can hear me very clearly. If they initiate the call and call me, then the sound quality on their end is not as crisp as when I call them, but it's generally pretty good with small blips of decreased sound quality. I tested this with the unit clipped on the driver side visor. My son is the primary driver of this car, so it makes me so much more at ease if i need to call him when he may be driving. I won't worry as much about causing him to have to pull out his phone and hold it to answer my call, because he can now do it hands free and safely.Read full review

Connects quickly with my Samsung Note 4, VERY long standby battery life (MONTHS), charges quickly when needed, announces caller name or number, really quite excellent speaker fidelity from the dual drivers. People on the other end like the mike sound quality, too. I bought one of these a couple of years ago for my wife who raved about how good it was, and when the cheap one I had died, I found this on eBay because it's not being made any more. Very happy with it.

Love the sound quality, easy to pair, could recieve a call , end call with no problem. COULD NOT MAKE A CALL, tried all voice commands, phone command, using my iPhone 5s and wife's Samsung. Tried two different devices from same dealer and had the same results with both Jabra Freeway devices.

The Freeway was easy to pair with my phone with the spoken instructions. The pairing was lost once and I had to go through the process again, but hasn't had an issue since. It works well as a standalone speakerphone and is much easier to have a conversation on vs. the BT earpiece I have. When broadcasting other audio from my phone like Navigation, sometimes the very beginning of the audio gets cut-off like it's gone to "sleep" when there's nothing actively broadcasting and then takes a split second to wake-up and get back in the swing of things. I thought the FM Transmitter would provide even better sound through the stereo, but the sound quality is extremely poor and static-y. Not sure if it's generally underpowered or if I just got a unit with sub-par performance in this regard, or I just need to find the right channel, though I've picked ones with no local station to try and reduce interference.Read full review

This was advertized as brand new in an open box, but the box, instruction manuels, warranty card and any other paperwork was missing. It was difficult to figure out how to use it, and I'm not sure it is set up properly so I don't really know if it is well designed or not. It does not seem to work as well as I thought it would, but that may be because there were no instructions to set it up properly,

Awesome, I initially started using this jabra freeway in my truck and could only receive calls, could not make any calls using (voice commands). After consulting jabra rep, went to my verizon rep who walked me through the process of using voice commands from my samsung cell phone. Now, the jabra freeway works like a charm!! using the voice commands feature. Samsung owners, know that you have to activate the "bixbi" feature on your phone in order to use the voice commands on the jabra freeway speaker phone. 100% satisfied with this product!! Sincerely, MK Hawaii
