I wanted an older laptop with a DVD/RW, and I planned to upgrade it with a second stick of RAM, and an SSD drive. The drive replacement went okay, but there was no slot for a second stick of RAM...the space was there, but no hardware. I could possibly buy an 8GB stick, but it's really not worth it to open it up again.

I like the size and weight of the laptop. The screen is bright and the keyboard is great. cons: I had problems with the laptop since day one, it would do odd things. this continued for about 6 months and then it finally quit. Still haven't got things straightened out with HP yet. I will not be buying another HP laptop.
