Wheel Locks Longer Than Expected
I've used only McGard wheel locks on all of my vehicles for 48 years. The wheel locks in this particular set are longer than the factory lug nuts. They stick past the edge of the wheel enough that someone with a narrow pair of locking ("Vice Grip" type) pliers could get them onto the wheel locks and, with a little brute force, remove the locks. The wheel locks in every McGard wheel lock set I've ever purchased were always about the same length as the factory lug nuts. So, I was expecting the same thing this time. I didn't pay attention to the length of the wheel locks in the product description/specs, especially since it is the only cone seat wheel lock set listed for my vehicle. I did see that the cone seat sets were listed under two categories on the McGard web site: "All" and "Short." None of the sets under the "Short" category would fit my wheels. The next time, I'll pay more attention to the length of the wheel locks in the product description/specs. Read full review
