Very best eye drops.
I have had cataract surgery and my opthamologist highly recommends this brand. So far, so good. No problems at all. Altbough, the instr. states that each vial has a single dose, I find that by re-covering the vial tightly, I can use it at least 2x. This product was recommended by my Optometrist for a dry eye condition. I use Retaine several times a day and at night before bedtime. It appears to help my condition but not completely alleviate it. Best Eye Lubricant I've Ever Used
This stuff lubricates my eyes better than any other eye drops I've ever used. I'm 60 years and I wear contacts. My eyes get really dry and my contacts feel super uncomfortable and scratchy sometimes. This stuff has some kind of oil or something in it instead of just saline. It is a milky color so it takes a few minutes to see clearly after I use it. Too much of a good thing in one vial
It works really well for my severe dry eyes. However, I wish it comes in a small bottle instead of 30 single vials. It is too much in one vial for one time use. It usually good for 2 times. Great product for Meibomium Gland Disfunction (Disfunction of the OIL producing glands in the eyelids). That said, if you H A V E MGD (Excess Tear Production is one indication = your body's way of trying to compensate!!) get yourself to an ophthalmologist that has LipiFlow treatment equipment (I have NO relationship with that company!!) or your eye surfaces will scar up so badly as to make you functionally BLIND!!! My optician prescribed this wonderful stuff to fight my dry eyes. It worked almost immediately, although I still take it twice daily without fail. It comes in small sterile plastic dispensers to be used once only so as to preserve sanitation. As an aside, I discovered that it works miracles when swimming. I spend a lot of time UNDER the water, and RETAINE "water proofs" my eyes for the entire swim. No irritation, no pain, no dry eyes when I'm back on dry land. And no red eyes! If you love your eyes...
When my eyes get dry it feels like little shards of glass in them..Very painful. My eye doctor recommended I use the Retaine complete eye relief.
