The item looked as though it had been previously installed on another vehcle as the plastic cap that holds the sleeve over the upper arm was broken off. So the sleeve just slides down the acctuator arm and will not stay in it's approiate postition. It didn't make it inoperable, and indeed it did fix my problem with the the broken arm on my Ford Flex liftgate, but this product was marketed as new OEM and it was not.
