Really like this piece of equipment. I had to buy a replacement for a really old Cuisinart, and I am so thoroughly pleased with this item's performance. It is loud, but no louder than my old Cuisinart--maybe people are complaining because there is a "highness" of the pitch of the sound, similar of an airplane engine in tone, but it doesn't bother me. I researched performance and satisfaction among many other brands and models, and this one was an economically sound performer. No reason to spend more for great performance! Good for the money.
For the price, this is a good food processor. The biggest issue is the design of the cove and feed tube makes it easy for food to get stuck in narrow openings. In shredding cheese, there is a lot of cheese that doesnt get shredded but winds up stuck in the cover or as small pieces that won't go thru the shredder blade and stay on top of the disc, The chopping action seems better. In some ways this one is better than my old Cusinart Food Processor.
Works great, looks great and is easy to clean. It is a simpler design than the Cusinart that recently died. But being simpler does not mean that is does less, just that it is easier to use (assembly and cleaning). Does a great job making slaw, bread cumbs and slicing vegtables.
