Phase converter
Bought this to replace some large phase converters to run large 3 phase woodworking equipment from 220v single phase power. The good: this has lots of parameters which allows me to set the died l motor speed and even how fast it slow I want the motor to turn. I really like this option. The bad: this is much more complicated to setup than I was expecting. There are 30 done parameters to set and if you don't know what you are doing it is very intimidating. I'm an engineer and took about 45 minutes with the lousy instruction manual to determine what settings I should select for each of the thirty some parameters. There are some very good YouTube videos people put out on this type of phase converter. Overall I am very happy with this. However be prepared to either do a lot of research or find some really good person to help you set up all those parameters. Quality seems fine. I'm happy enough I will probably buy another. However if I were using it on a very sensitive piece of equipment (ie cnc mill) I'd pay more money for a name brand unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Super easy to get going. I love the built in potentiometer. It took a little pratice to programnit, but for a cheap china unit, it's pretty good. I bought it rated at twice the output of my motor to be on the safe side. The only real tweaking that I had to do was with the high frequency operation setting (to reduce motor noise).

Works as advertized.
Handles my lathe's 5.5KW motor very well. No "automatic" tuning is needed - just set parameters from the manual. Manual contains couple of parameter sets for most common cases: 50Hz and 400Hz. You might want to change 50Hz to 6oHz but that is not critical.The only (minor) issue is that this inverter does not have a potentiometer on the front panel but still refers it in the parameter set so you have to tweak it to the menu input. However that small control panel is needed for tune up only as you have to wire real controls for your machine in a production environment.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product but not for the novice to set up.
The device has far more advanced features than I require so it surpasses my needs. A word of caution about the manual included. It does not address all of the features in sufficient detail for easy installation and set-up. You-Tube saved the day on this subject.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

VFDs Not As Advertised
The VFD's are advertised as being brand new. The VFD's have clearly been used before. They are not in the original packaging; most of them have various scratches and some discoloration. Some of them have settings that are not the factory default settings which also indicate that they have been used before. The VFDs are functioning properly. The only reason we will keep them is because they are needed for customer projects and we don't have time to find another source.

Runs my lathe great.
I got this one to power a 3hp engine lathe. Works like a charm. The instruction manual, although complete, is a little difficult to understand if you've never programmed a VFD before. Shipping was pretty quick and the unit seems to be well made and sturdy.

There is a video on youtube how to program and operate it. Otherwise forget about connecting and running it. When it's connected and setup, it works well. i connected an industrial 230v 3 phase lathe and compressor to a single phase 230v (residential).
