  • Good so far...

Got a refurb unit from neweggcanada. The packaging was great, looks brand new. The unit was shipped from the US, and I just updated to latest CA region firmware despite TPlink's advice to update firmware according to the router's manufacturing region. Mine was US, but CA firmware works just fine so far... 🙄 Love the router, great price for a refurb unit, it looks brand new, all accessories, nicely packaged, great wifi range, streaming/gaming all running smoothly... in short, just buy it already! 🌚

  • Great Router - put DD-WRT on it and it works great.

Great Router - put DD-WRT on it and it works great. We have up to 10 devices on it at a time mostly watching netflix or Youtube and we have not had the buffering issues we had with our previous router. Setup with original firmware was easy. I tried it out before installing DD-WRT. The DD-WRT install was easy and had it setup and running in no time. I have already recommended the router to another person. He menetioned he had some range issues but he was going across buildings, I have not had any similar issues in a two floor house.

  • Works great, great value.

Read several reviews that said this was a great product, the reviews were correct. Found a slightly used unit for sale for a good price on eBay. The unit was easy to setup and use. It solved several problems we were having with our older wireless router. It also brought us up-to-date with the newest standards. Coverage is much better than our older router. It was definitely money well spent.

  • Super coverage and a lousy control interface

I am very pleased with the whole house coverage I get on the 5 GHz band (2400 sq ft home) and mailbox to back fence coverage on 2.4 GHz. The lousy user interface and mostly useless Teather app cost the product a filfth star. In particular reserving an IP addresse is way more dificult than it needs to be. Overaall this refurbised router is a great bargan at $65.00. I use Ethernet over power line to locate the router mid house. The newer 2 Gbs adapters are cheep (about $50.00 a pair) and deliver all the bits my ISP will give me.

  • Speedy,,,,

Cable provider has control over what you can do,,, but ,,, this a/c router will speed up things. Good range, solid connections, Wi-Fi all over the property . Price was good as I could find for this unit , at the time . Happy ,,,,

  • Great router for running DD-WRT!

I now have two of these routers at home -- it has good range (maybe not the best, but solid), it runs DD-WRT quite well (which helps make it more useful than TPLink's stock firmware), and the price is right. The only caveat is that with the latest releases of TPLink's stock firmware, getting DD-WRT on this router was a bit more work.... I had to find a version of the TPLink firmware that effectively allowed unlocking the router and once that was loaded was able to install DD-WRT. Certainly more work than it took on the pre-existing C9 I already have in service, but with the help of the internet, totally doable.

  • Awsome signal strentgh

I read lots of reviews and I based my purchase on them hoping they were right! This router is just as good as they said. I live in a modular home and I could not get wifi everywhere UNTIL i bought this router..If you truly need a router that will do the jpb this is it. I never write reviews but felt I owed this to people looking for a great router. Thanks for such a great piece of equipment
