  • Good vac for the money

The reason I rated this vac good and not ok is the price. 75.00 for a new vac that picks up dirt this great is amazing. Compared to my dyson vac. The bad is the cord gets hot after 40 mins. and there is no shut off for the brushes. The carpet height adj. is not the greatest, feels weak and poorly made, also the vac is very light and feels like a 75.00 vac. If you are looking for a vac that don't have many features and is lightweight look no further. It pick dirt and dog hair up great and has a wide path. The dirt been is not the biggest but easy to empty. Auto cord rewind is very nice but is something that could break. Hepa filter is not washable and will have to be replace but vac filter is washable and looks like it will last forever. Bought for my brother and for the money can't complain to much but would of like to see brush turn off capability .

  • Perfect for the Price

I needed a vacuum for my apartment and this unit turned out to be just what I needed. I like the retracting power cord, however with it being at the bottom of the unit the cord can get in the way during use. This unit has great power and I love the easy to empty canister, who wants to deal with vacuum bags anymore. I highly recommend this vacuum for at least smaller areas as I do not how it works over an entire household. Also have only used the bare floor and low carpet setting. Don’t know how it works with longer carpets or rugs.

  • Great for the price

It's extremely loud -- the loudest vacuum cleaner I've had, I do believe. I keep wondering if something's blocked up in there, but it's been loud from the get-go and the green indicator that would change to red if something were stuck or the dust bin were full stays green. Otherwise it would be a 5-star review. (It would be nice if it had a headlight like the one it's replacing, but can't really expect that for the price -- nice that it has a retractable cord.)

  • Aug 2018

So I wanted to wait until I had the vacuum for an amount of time. It’s been over a month on about 2-3 uses a week. It’s alright for the amount you pay but it’s definitely not the best around. I read through some reviews prior to purchase and I saw many people with dogs appreciated what it could do... I’m not as pleased. I have a golden retriever mix, and it’s been a hot summer so the hair accumulation is at a maximum causing the vacuum to begin to struggle early on. I had about a good 10 uses and then had to tear apart the bottom to dig out the hair that had clumped up not allowing the tank to fill properly. The tank is also a bear to empty bc with all of the hair I vacuum up the accumulation has to be hand picked out. So obviously not hands free and annoying to perform. I do enjoy the suction power it has. You do get the satisfaction of seeing the carpet lift up with travel lines while using it. Hard would floors are kind of lame. You have to go back and forth a lot to make sure everything is picked up. Travel on it is easy. My power cord roll up is lasting well, which I was worried about. The filter is pretty annoying to have to rinse which I’ve only done once but I’m now a little worried about the drying time taking forever, there’s probably a hack to that I just don’t know. So overall I gave this a 2 star bc I have plenty of hardwood and way to much dog hair to be able to use this reliably for a long amount of time so I’m disappointed. Maybe for a simpler household without pet this would be suitable but personally I believe next time I’m going to buck up and spend the big bucks on a dyson or some crazy thingamajig. Maybe one that gets under the furniture... that’ll be the day

  • Excellent product

This is an excellent buy. First of all it is half the price of the local stores. The cord rewind is a great convenience. The hose is long enough to reach the ceiling corners with no difficulty. It rides easily over the rugs. Just a good piece of equipment.

  • So close, but...

First, the good...cleans as a vacuum is supposed to--better than the several years old Dyson...gets into places the old one didn't...easy to put together--if you can handle a screwdriver, and my guess is you can. The bad...power cord is too short...the really bad, the hose extension is absurd. I needed it for stairs and you can do about four stairs from the top, and four from the bottom if you really stretch it out. But, I have 14 steps which means to get those 6-or-7 in between, you have to "balance" the entire sweeper on the steps and try to hold on to it, while using the compact power brush on the steps. It becomes a full aerobic work-out with it hitting you in the head, pushing against it with your shoulder and trying to maneuver from step-to-step. I don't want to see anyone out of work, but hopefully, they've moved the person who designed this aspect of it to another job...If you have a single-story house-great...2 story house, think twice...

  • Very happy with this HOOVER!!

Bought this to replace an ORECK I’d had for many years. Cost was a fraction of what I paid for it. Works just as well, lots more attachments, excellent suction. Easy to empty container; no more bags to buy. Easy to assemble. Love the retractable cord. It is heavier than the ORECK, but no complaints!

  • Rugged Built

Does an excellent job! All of the buttons, levers, and attachments are easy to access. Not real light weight, but ruggedly built. Love the way to empty the collection container. Press on button to release it from the vacuum, one button to dump the contents into the trash, snap the bottom into place; place the container on the vacuum, push until it snaps - your ready to go. No bags to change. Love it !!!!!
