Good thermometer for the price.
It seems to be accurate, is easy to see and is easy to mount. However, the metal bracket holding the a thermometer is a bit flimsy, allowing the thermometer to fall out if bumped. Mine is mounted in a place where this won't happen, so it is working well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I thought it was gone…
While I was cleaning my windows I accidentally knocked our outside thermometer off it’s mount and being over 20 years old it was not fixable. In this age of digital everything I didn’t think I would be able to replace it. I was pleasantly surprised to see they are still made and it was a perfect replacement. It’s nice on a cold morning to peer out the window to check the temperature. Yes my furnace reports the outside temp as does my weather station but there is something nostalgic and comforting seeing the mercury tube that we had as kids. Functional? Yes. Necessary? Hard to read!!!!!!
Forgot that the mercury-style thermometer needs to be viewed at a certain angle to see the temp reading. Also, you need to be pretty close to the thermometer to see it. No good thermometers left
