The best reason for reading this book is the interactions that it will take place between parent and child or whom ever reads with a child. The actual mechanics of reading and opportunities to carry on a dialogue with each is when imagination and bonding take place. The story is as timeless today as in the past. So many questions and thought to discuss. Dorothy is a strong thoughtful character. The other characters offer so muay imaginative possibilities as to what they might be like if they were real. And I hope that all who read and share the book will laugh and smile. The good feeling that comes from sharing in meaningful time together is after all what it means when it says, "There is no place like home."
