This one doesn't have as "deep" of channels as the previous, but that's really not an issue for us. we've used to make whole wheat, protein powder, oat flour and GF waffles and all turned out beautifully. Can't beat it for the money
This was my first waffle maker and I have to admit for the money it's just super! You have to play around an experiment a little with different batters different temperatures I want you to get it right you can make these things like crazy and I've made them in advance stuck them in the freezer put them in my toaster oven and had instant waffles whenever I want!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You get what you pay for!
The product worked, but I found I had to turn the temperature to the highest setting. Even at its highest setting I had to let the waffles cook longer than the instructions recommended. Waffles also come out unevenly cooked. Since I make them to freeze and then pop them in the toaster it overcame these issues. The cord is a little short.
