slow transfer. only store files you can be sure you won''t access very often.
the backup hard drive came as new, and was shipped promptly. i looked forward to it so that i could transfer a great deal of stuff directly to a new computer. i have two complaints about the drive. first, the transfer of data is incredibly slow. i'm having to transfer information overnight. the second complaint is perhaps due to my own ignorance. i thought a 2TB backup means almost 2TB of storage. when i tried to transfer less than 2 TB, the unit cut off the transfer at about 1TB . there were various files in the transfer data that were missing. so i had to go through everything to see which files were not transferred, remove files initially transferred to free up space and then transfer smaller amounts of data..
