All the Ultra HD Player you need if you have a nearby router
Everything about this player is beautifully designed, from the welcome screen to the remote control, which is a tactile masterpiece. The image and sound quality are superb, and this player can host all the streaming apps you want and need if your 4K TV isn't smart enough to do that. Be aware that the player does not have a WiFi capability, so you need a nearby router and ethernet cable to connect to the internet. If you do, then the connection is on instantly, with no waiting for your device to connect after you power up. Also be aware, if you are connecting to your TV through an AV amplifier, it must support the HDCP 2.2 standard to pass through 4K UHD video. Otherwise, the player will automatically downscale to 1080p HD. I have this problem with an older amplifier that claims to be 4K compatible, but was designed to the original HDCP standard. So, if you can connect this player to your router with an ethernet cable, or you just want to play UHD BluRay discs because your 4K UHD smart TV already does the streaming, this is the player for you.

Despite being advertised as "used" the player I received appeared to be new and included the user manual. Installation took no more than 10 minutes and the unit works perfectly. It's connected to a HD Samsung TV and an Onkyo A/V Receiver. The video picture is much improved compared to my older unit. An internet connection using a house wired network works just fine. The remote is a little funky but I'd definitely buy this player again.

This first time 4ker is impressed
Out of the box it is plug and play except for a few prompts that remind me of setting up a phone for the first time. The image quality if fantastic, but if you want to make the most of the picture capabilities you'll need to get into the menu a few steps. That took some internet research but I had mine set up and calibrated in about 20 minutes.

What I expected.
Purchased it for a new Samsung TV in main room, mainly to keep the remote control process simple. It delivers my needs at 100%. Wish it has wireless internet access, but I was able to plug into ethernet plug.

Programming a problem.
This was purchased as a replacement for an older Samsung DVD player. I erroneously assumed it would be a simple plug and play. Wrong! The instructions on programming the unit led to a dead end. Finally got it working by intuition.
