Easily best in class Mood Lighting .. Reliable Operation .. Setup 2 separate zones, one for man cave and one for living room .. needed to buy more bulbs total 8 .. one Hue hub controls both zones independent of each other. Can set timers to turn butbs on and off or run any color routine you want. Each bulb can be addressed individually allowing each to have a different color .. preset scenes on your phone once hue app is loaded .. Light color temperature is very soothing. Expensive but they perform. Bought some inexpensive rope lights and put them behind the TV and computer monitors (these operate with a remote control) really added value to the Look.

I set this up with my newer iPad Pro with the Philips Hue app. Requires iOS 11 or newer. It also works with Apple Home app + I can control it via Siri with my older iPhone 5. + It worked with my local WiFi right away - but I could not get the Hue Bridge to connect to the internet. First I had to go into my router software and allow it access, then I had to turn off my VPN to get everything on the same level of communication, then it could be registered on the Hue website and download the updates. = Very Nice. On the macOS App Store there are several apps available for more control options. I look forward to learning more and expanding the system ;)

Amazing colors that you can change with the Phillips app. Control different rooms and set schedules. The sunset and sunrise modes are cool. But there are a few flaws, small but they exist. You have to avoid light switches. After a whole lifetime of stepping in the door and flipping the switch, you have to leave them on. The hub went out and I had to reset my entire Internet setup. It wasn't a big deal just have to cut off and let it reboot. Other than that these rock. I'm buying more
