Overpriced and of little help for over-landing
I purchased this “overlander” for my recent Utah travel because it was claimed to provide features for both RV and off-roading (explorer mode). I used it in my MB 4x4 Sprinter RV and traveled on-road and off-road for over 3,500 miles. I felt disappointed in this Overlander. In comparison with a regular GPS and Google Map, it is good to consistently provide lots of (but not very accurate) campsite information. Otherwise, I did not see any significant advantages for either RV or off-road travel. Though I set the Overlander with my RV dimensions, it in most of the time could not determine if the upcoming road or tunnels would fit my RV and I still needed to make visual judgment carefully. For the rest areas and gas stations, this GPS missed too many. For off-road driving, I did not find much advantages. Whenever the off-road paths did not shown in my regular GPS, they did not shown in the Overlander Explorer mode either. In sum, the Overlander could be helpful for RV campers if the money is not an issue. For off-road lover, it would be far behind the expectations.
