I bought these to serve as spares for my four engine roster of Legacy Blue Box GP 35’s in IC Green Diamond trim. They have all been recently overhauled and all worn parts brought up to spec and all have been fitted with Soundtraxx Tsunami2 DCC decoders. I also have one Athearn F7 which uses the same type trucks. Two of my oldest geeps arrvfitted. With the older style trucks with the cast metal side frames, which seem to be not as durable as the later trucks with the different type of wlectricql pick-off, which simply isn’t as DCC friendly. Luckily, Athearns were designed so that most of the older designs can be upgraded with the newer parts with little or no modification.
