This 980 ssd 2t is installed in a Dell XPS 15 i9 32gig laptop. It replaces the 1t that Dell originally supplied. The extra Storage and the terrific performance really augments this 4k, touchscreen laptop. It was a simple task to change out the boot drive as well as partition the drive for 2 1t, C and D drives. This laptop really rocks!

Incredibly fast! A couple things to know...You will want to make sure you're using a mainboard/CPU combination which will allow you to get the full speed experience. In my case that is an AMD Ryzen 5950 in an X570 chipset. From what I've read in other reviews these SSDs won't provide the big benchmark numbers everyone seems to crave if you're using an Intel CPU. Great product.

This has the right numbers for read and write speed, about the fastest you can get for the price. I've bought 8 or 10 Samsung SSD's, they are reliable and never had one fail. The SSD itself is great, the excuse for "cloning software" they have is a disgrace, you have to use something like Macrium Reflect instead. Please get with it, Samsung, your cloning software stinks!
