Great Humidifier for @ 900 sf space
Did a bit of research before deciding to purchase this unit. I never heard of the brand before but went online and read reviews. I needed it for a bigger space (main floor) but this little unit seems to do the main floor with no problem. Super easy directions and love that it has a built in hygrometer (humidity gauge ) I have multiple hygrometers around the house and the levels seems to match in each room. It warms up the water and blows it out of the top of the unit. Warm steam which is not harmful around kids (mine have already tested it!!) We placed ours not the floor and kept it away from walls as recommended. You don't want the sheetrock to start dripping with water droplets. Definitely need to use little round filters if you use tap water. Unit tells you when it needs to be decalcified. We use reverse osmosis water in our home, and I use that water to fill up unit. Now that it is getting cold here on Long Island, NY I notice I have to fill the unit about 2x/day. The humidity level remains comfortable and we are so happy. The unit is attractive and modern looking. BTW, the interior water container has about 1 1/2 gallon capacity. The twist seal works fine and has an easy handle for carrying. I keep the container upside down (cap upwards) while I walk to and from sink so nothing drips out, just in case. The plastic vented cover does sweat on the inside, so at each tank refill I bring it to the sink and wipe it down to get rid of excess moisture. Overall, I am very pleased with the unit. We are considering buying a second one for kids' room but will wait this one out one season to see how it holds up.
