    Great product for your CVT or tow-package transmission!

    If you live in anyplace with four seasons and have a trans cooler for towing or to protect a CVT trans, then over-cooling in winter can cause you a lot of needless premature wear. This simple device bypasses your accessory trans cooler until/unless the fluid hits 180F, then opens using a simple and reliable poppet-and-shuttle mechanism. I've tracked the temp on our CVT Nissan since installing it, and it works like a charm. It has only opened twice, but both on long hauls up mountainsides that might dangerously heat up any CVT. The rest of the time the valve sits idle and our trans runs at its usual comfy 160~170. Unlike the other popular valve from Dana, this product also has 4 handy 6mm-1.0 mounting holes that made bolting it to the subframe beside the trans a snap, and the fittings are NPT and not fixed so you can use angled nipples if your rig is space-constrained. Excellent item, I highly recommend it!
