Really love this gate. We have big dogs they don't even consider jumping it. Very solid well made great looking gate. Love the color and the construction and the easy if install and use. Very well made, sturdy, 5 minutes to assemble
Everything is good about this gate except the bar below the gate opening of which stays inplace when the gate is opened, it's quite a safety hazard and have tripped over it several times; probably is not suitable for elderly people or children. I bought it to keep the dogs out of the living room when I'm not at home, they are 80lb dogs and they haven't taken it down yet or jumped over it. The gate opening is on the narrow side, I'm of medium build and yet I find myself turning my body to get through. I'll continue to use it but when I'm at home I take it down as it drives me nuts stepping over the bar and squeezing through the gate. Great price, quality and easy to use
These look great (not cheap) and literally took less than 10 minutes to pull 2 out of the box and set up! I was concerned about the door in the middle design not holding up to the kids, but so far they have not budged even with them slamming the doors several times a day. They are going on a month now and only had to tighten 1 a little more. I did not use the screw or base plates that are made for the tension screws to anchor against. I have stain grain door jambs and did not want the marks from screws. I could see that it might help to mount the plate on a door jamb to really keep it from moving for long term or hard use...but so far it has not been an issue. I'm very happy with how they required no tools to set up...if you don't use the anchor plates. My 4 and 6 year olds actually put the nobs in and tighten them up. Attractive, great for a narrow space.

Replace your short step over gates
I have a Great Dane/American Bulldog mix. This is tall enough that he doesn't try to jump it. The quality and appearance is very formal looking in comparison to the waffle plastic type gates I was using. Not to mention the big dog would hope over them like they weren't there.

be careful to measure. This was to big for my opening and I had to do a lot of monkeying around to get it to work. It is solid though. Has even taken the kids standing on the bottom railing (oldest weighs 50 lbs). Looks great with my décor is a very attractive gate not just a piece of plastic or some wood slats.
