Good strings at a fair price
These strings are appropriate for minstrel banjo. Mine are used on an 1845 William Boucher (of Baltimore) banjo. They have a tone and timbre that I can't distinguish from catgut strings, and are slightly less susceptible to the impact of humidity and temperature than catgut strings. Not only that, but they're far less costly than catgut. I highly recommend them for their period-correct sound of the mid-19th century banjo when used on a minstrel banjo.
