Last time I played a video game was on my Nintendo 64. Loved playing Zelda as a kid and tried to pass it on to my kids but they weren't that interested. My entire family is now in trouble with my wife because we all have our own Zelda account going now. Besides inhibiting doing their chores, homework and piano I can't really say anything negative about the game. It's very addicting with endless Adventures and entertainment. Instead of movie night we'll sit around and see who can take out a Lionel with the least amount of damage. Great for family bonding, hahaha. Frankly if they could find a way to add more extension packs to this game, and extended the maps I would just cancel our cable TV end of throw out there other gaming systems b/c they're collecting dust. Summary, great game worth every penny.Read full review

Before I played this game I had heard people say, "the last few games were formulaic, but this one bucks the trend." I wasn't happy about that, because I really like the recent Zelda, and I was afraid Nintendo migjt screw this up, especially after I heard it was going to be open-world. Rest assured, I was wrong. Dead wrong. This game breaks the Zelda mold in all the right ways. It exchanges a monolithic sword choice for a huge variety of weapons. It exchanges seven or so massive dungeons for four and a hundred mini-dungeons scattered across the world. The characters are all engaging and likable in their own ways, and the English voice acting is great. I can confidently say that this game deserves a full five stars.

This game is a return to the tradition of exploration of the original Legend of Zelda. Fight with anything you can find. Strategize to defeat enemies or avoid them all together. Some minor getting used to is the controls, stamina and weapon breaks, but it encourages using everything and turning over every rock. The DLC adds challenge with hard mode, language settings, outfits and amiibo support. This game is worth completing and is the signature sign off to the Wii U. An amazing console. 13Ucube on YouTube, thanks for recommending!!

I have been playing video games for about 40 years, primarily RPGs. I am 73. My Top 5 games have always been, FFVII, Dragon Quest VIII & XI, Trails Of Cold Steel Series, and The Fallout Series. But, to be simply blown away by a Zelda Game, was all the more astonishing to me. The Breath Of The Wild World, dwarfs The Fallout Series. There is so much to do! I have been playing the Wii U version for over 100 hours, and did not come across one glitch. Exploring, combat, side quests, the abilities, the shrines with their puzzles. It is a dream come true. Yes, weapons break easily, and you can get killed with one hit, but somehow, it transcends being frustrating. It is a world of fun & adventure. It is Nintendo's Masterpiece. It is the greatest game I have ever played. Period.

Very fun to play because you can wander as you wish in this beautiful open world. Music is relaxing but be careful because once you start to play, time is flying by!!! I have played with Zelda since the SNES and Breath of the Wild is full of characters and side quests that reminds older games. Very fun and as usual, you have to search and think a lot. Of course you have to fight ennemies but this is not the essential of the gameplay.
