  • Fix for Samsung over the range microwave

I needed this part due to a syrup cap igniting on heating for 60 seconds. Flame reached the small hole in roof of unit below this thermal fuse. Oven totally dead, but part was accessible AFTER UNPLUGGING and waiting a few for magnetron to discharge thru top front panel by removing light and stirrer cover. Removing and connecting two leads and power returned. Only way to replace listed was to remove and dismantle oven. Noticed the new part had a separate ring with ears that held it between roof of oven and plastic above. I used a 3" vice grip to grip one of the electrical connections and pull it up and out of the plastic at an angle so one of the retaining ears bent. The replacement would go back in place without cutting the ring with ears off. Since it fit in the hole looser than I liked I wrapped it with a half width of electrical tape a few turns so it fit snugly. Reconnected the two leads and it's working great.

  • Fit the bill

My microwave lost power. The lights were all off. A quick search led me to this little thermostat. It’s super easy to change, just make sure to unplug the microwave first. One wire is live when the microwave is plugged into an outlet. This fix saved me hundreds.
