  • LOAD UP AND SPRING INTO ACTION!

These springs will do fine IF you use them right: + Purchase a set of FLOYD ROSE XTRA HEAVY TREMOLO SPRINGS (set of 3) but, you will only need ONE. Install the spring in the MIDDLE (3rd) position of the block. Then insert a Fender black light tension spring at the TOP position (5th) then adjust the claw to desired tension (see pic). Most of you will use 3 springs so, add a second black spring to the BOTTOM (1st) position for a bit "stiffer" leverage. Too many springs in the cavity will cause excessive friction/pressure points you do not want and you will still be turning your tuning keys a lot. The fewer springs you can get away with (without losing stability), the better off you are, especially if you use your trem system frequently as I do. I use Stratocasters exclusively and do this to ALL of them. Lastly on a tuning note: Don't use the string trees on the headstock as they only cause additional friction points and more tuning problems. + Hope this helps you out and thanks for reading!

  • Cheap for fender

I thought I was getting an upgrade for my Gio Ibanez Strat but these Springs are super thin and weak I had to use all five I could fit on my tremolo and Claw and it's still barely enough to stabilize the tension on the strings otherwise they are exactly as described they're genuine fender parts that don't ring or rattle it just wasn't a possibility to achieve a standard 3 spring tremolo setup... I am a little upset being that the Gio Ibanez Springs actually held more attention than the eaves and I replaced it with these because those were getting weak and even the weak and old cheap Ibanez Springs that are 20 years old we're holding more tension than four of these adding V barely did it I use for of the new Fender Springs and used one of the stiffer Ibanez Springs in the middle to balance the tension as much as possible

  • Very low tension.

I purchased these to replace the 3 springs in my AXL SRO Artist (Strat clone with American hardware) after putting a set of 11s on and having the bridge lift off the body > 1/8". I noticed immediately these were not as "stiff" as the springs which were currently in the guitar, but thought 5 should do the trick. 5 did NOT do the trick, even after tightening the claw anchor almost all the way into the body. I ended up using the 3 original springs along with 2 of these & then tightening the anchor, which got me where I needed to be. My disappointment lies in the fact I thought I was getting a six pack of standard Fender tremolo springs... fortunately, I was at least able to use 2, but now I've got 4 which are junk to me. I wouldn't even try to sell them because the next guy may end up with the same problem.

  • Great tremolo springs. 3 does the job for fender stratocaster floating trem. You could use the whole pack if you want a stiff set up but why?

  • Fender low tension black springs

These springs create a much lower tension. This allows a much smoother tremolo and greater control of range of movement. You can go from jimi hendrix wild, to hank marvin or david gilmore smooth. I own 2 vintage stratocaster s and 1fender custom shop stratocaster. The custom shop came with them and i installed and set them up on both vintage stratocasters. They work effortlessly on all. Get some and enjoy the difference.

  • Improved stability and tone

Tossed these one of my lower-end Squiers and they helped with sustain, tone, and tuning stability. Sounds far-fetched, but really, they did. I used all 5 to replace the 3 that were stock on the Squier.
