Perfect for me
Smaller and lighter than my first Vivofit. When pressed, provides backlighting in the dark, which I appreciate. Syncs with my smartphone instead of my PC, and that's very good; I can sync anywhere, anytime. The tiny locking mechanism on the wrist strap is great. My old Vivofit would come unlatched if I brushed up against something hard, and in the process of putting it back on several times a week, the strap eventually failed. This one does not come off unless you unlock it. The device does not measure heart rate, which is fine with me. Had a "knock-off" brand fitness tracker before and I would literally count my steps on long walks just to test it, and it was always 20-30% short! I brought another brand but didn't like the short battery life nor the fact that there was no warning as to when it would die. I love my new Vivofit 3!(Had a vivofit 2)The 1 year battery life is super. It is waterproof. I still haven't tried all its functions. I walk daily, so the step counter is very helpful tracking my movements throughout the day. In 3 years of walking I have logged over 4 million steps! This is my 3rd Vivofit tracker. Love this Garmin product. Easy to use but must admit the one I had before this one did not last very long. Just over 1 year. I do not want a tracker that does much more than count my steps. I wear it ALL the time as step counting is a daily activity for me. Everything I expected.
Although it was listed as a refurb, it works and looks like it was brand new. Only gotcha was integration with Virgin Pulse. Walking doesn't automatically give you "activity minutes", like it does work Fitbit. You need to manually start/stop the timer for an activity to be counted as activity minutes in Virgin Pulse. Other than that, works great.

No problems with this product whatsoever. It's lightweight and small. I like that it takes a lithium coin cell battery because it lasts a long time with no charge needed. Bummer about the garbage created, but nice to not worry about charging. The setup is easy. Paired easily with HRM-Dual heart rate monitor.
