    A very nice compliment to the DeWalt 20V line.

    Very powerful and handy to have in your arsenal. Comes with a nice grinding wheel. One important note: If you are planning to use the tool for cutoff jobs, as I primarily was, it does not include any cutoff blades of any kind. More importantly, if you ARE going to use it for cutoff jobs with 1/16" or 1/8" thick abrasive OR diamond blades, you WILL need to purchase a DW4706 backing flange (cost only around $3.00). This information is not very clear anywhere on the box or in the manual, so just save yourself the confusion like I had and get it right away! Otherwise, enjoy this tool, it's fun to work with!

I build all sorts of metal projects with the plasma cutter and also rock crawling bars . This has been great to clean up sharp edges and prep for welding. Wish the battery would last forever.

    Great tool but needs TONS of batteries.

    Another excellent tool from DeWalt. I'm loyal to DeWalt and generally am impressed by their tools. This one's no exception but if you don't own any 4AH or larger batteries, don't expect to be able to use the tool for more than 10 minutes per charge. Whether you're grinding, cutting or sanding this thing loves power! Tool works great but don't plan on using it for any extended stretch of time unless you have multiple batteries, preferably 4AH or higher.

    Great compliment to the 20v lineup

    I really like this machine. It's got a ton of power and has tackled any task I've given it without even blinking. I not only use it as a cutoff tool but also attach a twisted wire brush for removing rust. I used to use a air powered die grinder and the results aren't even comparable. If there is a drawback, it is that the machine is so powerful it will fling parts of a cutoff disk at dangerous speeds (not the tool's fault of course) so I always make certain the guard is in place and between me and the "object" when in cutoff mode. The fact that it works in the 20v lineup is just the icing on the cake. I have 2 sets of 20v tools and have added this to both sets.

    Great addition

    I have the cirded version of this tool, but thought it would be handy to have a 20 volt cordless one to go along with the rest of my Dewalt cordless tools. It is alot more handy than a sawsall. It says tool less, but you still need a tool to remove the blade. It comes with a allen wrench to change it, but i use the wrench that came with my corded grinder. Either one works depending on witch holes you use.

    Low power/torque

    The grinder did not come with the wrench required to install a grinding or cutting wheel, I had a wrench from an old Craftsman grinder so I was able to install a cutting wheel; however, it was barely able to cut roofing metal, not enough power/torque.

    I liked it well enough that I bought a second one. I like that’s it’s lighter than the larger dewalt 20 v which I have that one to, which is better for 1/2” steel . The 412b is good for 3/8 down but they like batteries a two amp battery doesn’t last very long
