  • Dries Hard, Easy to file and grind

I am using this product for glass-bedding synthetic rifle stocks. The key here is making sure to use the recommended, or slightly more than, amount of hardener to make sure the epoxy dries hard. Clean up is easy when done while setting up or about 4 hours in, and grinding with a stone bit or filing is really easy. I have been super happy with this product compared to other bedding compounds, as it seems to adhere to the surfaces better and stretches very far.

  • The best steel epoxy putty in the market

The epoxy is very easy to mix and use but there are some things that are not clear on either the package or the instructions. First off the easiest way to remove the epoxy from your hands and your tools is with simple white vinegar. I know this seems crazy but my husband, a retired tool and die maker gave me this trick. I kept a small bowl with white vinegar and paper towels close by to clean any mishaps while working with product and then I cleaned off my tools, mixing plates and my hands when done. It works perfectly. Secondly, when measuring the 2 parts of the epoxy, be sure to use separate spoons when selecting each product from their tubs. This prevents contamination of the epoxy parts. If the 2 parts become contaminated, then the epoxy will never cure. Lastly, when you are finished working with the epoxy parts be sure to put plastic wrap over each tub before twisting on the caps. This helps preventing the products from drying out. These tips will make your project goes easier.

  • Good Stuff

Purchased to use as a bedding compound for two of my rifles. Devcon is easy to mix, has a great consistency for staying where you put it, and dries extremely hard. Both bedding jobs turned out great.

  • Nice for rifle bedding

Works great for bedding rifle actions. Has nice balance between liquid and solid. Only downside is shelf life is limited and the metal compound will harden over time albeit months or even years.

  • Great Rifle Bedding

Used it to bed a Enfield action in an 80 yr old stock. Used Kiwi neutral polish as a release agent and the results came out great. I highly recommend this stuff.

  • Perfect for intended use

Works great, easy to use, and does not run all over the place. Pillar and glass bedded two rifles with excellent results. Best bedding compound out there.

  • Great stuff

Mixes easily and hardens to a rock like consistency. Be sure to pay attention to the mixing instructions. 2.5:1 If you are using small amounts you can use a syringe(s) to get the amounts correct.
