After using my old Remingon razor for years I had finally had enough. It took too long and constantly dealt with razor burn. I have never owned an electric razor, so this is the first one............. It has given me a decent shave. My face and technique need some adjusting, as I initially gave myself a bit of razor burn on my neck..... I don't have a heavy beard except in a few places. It has handled just fine 1,2 and 3-day growth..... The trimmer also works easily and quickly. to even out the sideburns and upper lip hairs. I hope it has durability as I don't know yet. As far as cleaning goes it is a pice of cake simple and easy. The design ergonomics and construction seem well thought out. I would say it is a good bang for the buck.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my Dad because his Braun Series 5 Cleaning and Charging Station stopped working. It got here in time for Christmas and it works, so everbody's happy. For the price, seems like the best deal going. Braun quality product, cheap replacement heads/blades, and a very reasonable use/charge time. Nothing "fancy" here, the basic no extra frills "entry level" model, but the head and its contact flexibility is good enough for most normal facial needs, at a third the price of the fancier top enders. Recommend minimal every-other day use though, as it does bog down/pinch a bit in 3-4+ day heavy beard growth.
