Tube Audio Has Changed For The Better
This is a new twist on tube audio sound integrated with solid state sound. It is a well made product, an upgrade from the 25 watt model. It came to me used, BUT better than new. It had upgraded tube sets, the original box, manualetc. It was simply the best audio deal I have gotten in the 18 years I gave been on eBay!! Sounded better than I had hoped for!. Pleasantly Surprised!!
At this low price - I was not expecting much - but after reading reviews I thought I would purchase it... I bought this to couple with a phono preamp to place in my office at work... When I got this hooked up (JVC QL-Y5F turntable, Rek-O-Kut MKII phono preamp and a pair of Paradigm Atom bookshelf speakers) - my jaw droppped! I was very surprised at how good it sounded... A month with it I own krell ksa250,Coda100, Threshold S/500 as well others small contenders. Well after warming this unit for a week not turning it off I started to play with multiple types of speakers. It best match I found with Polk,JBL,AR, Paradigm some Klipsch. This unit do not play or sound well with anything that is 86 db or under,do not distorted but do not match well. Now it is great value sound image is good, excellent tone controls the add or subtract more than most found in regular units. Building quality is very good, switch and knobs feel good,no noise founded. VU meter is just a indicator of signal imput. It is fun, very good value. I have this amp hooked up to my vintage turntable, DVD player (for CDs), and my old laptop with an external hard drive. This amp makes everything sound great - except iTunes but that’s not the amps fault.
