Great little converter
I have used these up convertors several times. They are small, efficient, and nicely adjustable. With the last pair I purchased, one output maxed at 49.2, the other at 46.7 at 8 volts input. Adjusting the input voltage up to 10 or down to 5 made no difference in the output. Some variation in max output can be expected.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Using them for condenser michrophone 48 Volt "phantom power"
I am using this product to boost the output of a Lithium Ion battery cell to 48 Volts to supply "phantom power" to a condenser microphone. It easily puts out 48 Volts at the required current. The only down side is that the output capacitor is only rated for 50 Volts DC which doesn't leave a lot of margin. Otherwise the units perform well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A nice converter that doesn't have to be modded to reach 48V. Same basic design as most other XL6009 converters but with an added inductor and appropriately rated components for 48V output.
