My Nexus 6P required charging every 2 hours and would shut down when reached 40%. I decided to give battery replacement a chance and must say this product is amazing, my phone is actually better than the original battery life. It lasts for two days without any trouble. Replacement process is a bit pain because tools provided are not the good quality, had to use my own but I guess it's not the tools only, it's the way this phone is built. If you know what you are doing only then attempt otherwise you may end up damaging your phone. I used hair dryer to loosen the adhesive which turned out to be ok. Once components removed it was a breeze to replace the battery and put everything back together. Make sure you remove all 6 screws, couple of them are hidden under the tiny stickers. Overall very happy, my phone got new life, 3 1/2 years and still like new due to this fantastic replacement battery!!!Read full review

Battery in my just over 1 year old 6p was dying very quickly (battery capacity measured at 2573mAH vs 3450mAH new according to AccuBattery) and if the phone got even remotely cold it would shut down. Decided I had nothing to lose by trying to replace the battery. The replacement procedure went well, but I do have a fair bit of experience taking things apart, took about 45 min start to finish. Prying tools are a bit lacking, I used a razor-scraper to pry things apart carefully! The battery date on my original was 2015-10-13 and the new battery was 2015-11-21 (bought on 2017-04-05) so the battery was about the same age. I am happy to report that the battery capacity is now 3519mAH so it's actually a bit better than the rated capacity and I have noticed a *much* better battery life, easily get's me through a day again.Read full review

So, the battery isn't an original. At least, it looked quite different from the battery I took out of my 6P in terms of text and connector. That said, the original batter went to pot waaaay too quickly, so, this one is currently much better. I don't really care, as long as it works, because this is just to hold me over a bit until I get a new phone. My old battery was listed as 60% health in Accubattery, this one is at 104%. I'd barely get a half a day with the old battery, this one I actually have trouble getting below 60% throughout the day. So, yeah, it's alright. The tools that came with the phone are cheap. Wouldn't count on them to get you into your 6P. You'll need a heat gun and a very thin razor/Exact-o knife to get at the internals. The plastic spanner thing broke with very little pressure and the "guitar pick" shredded too easily. However, YMMV. The 6P is a difficult phone to get into, and the tools were definitely not advertised as the best out there. For the price, I'm happy enough with it. I just don't think it should be advertised as OEM.Read full review

This battery doesn't fit perfectly. It's a little small and rattles around the phone if you down seal it down. The original was slightly larger in all dimensions. Secondly, this kit needs a playing card. You can't remove the battery without something similar to a playing card. I used an old credit card but would have preferred a really high quality playing card to wedge the case open and remove the battery because it is glued down. That said I used a few of the tools included but needed a couple more to get the job done. tl;dr add a nice playing card to the kit, and maybe a razor blade. The Nexus 6P is REALLLY hard to open.

First of all, this battery performed VERY well in the past couple of days that I have been testing it. The installation was a terribly difficult one, but ended up being an overall good experience. The tools given might have been on the lower quality side, but nevertheless all i needed was a hairdryer and a craft knife that i found to take this apart. There have been some negative reviews about this battery's life, and I think that some of it is unwarranted. When you use AccuBattery to measure the battery health. It does it based on an overall average of your previous (faulty or damaged) battery, so the health numbers end up being very low if you don't erase your previous battery's data, (reinstall the app). After reinstalling the app and giving it a couple days to calibrate, this battery was measuring at 3658 MAH which is INSANE given that I thought that the capacity was going to be much lower than the design capacity. Overall, the installation might be a pain, but was manageable. and the battery is performing VERY well! :)Read full review
