Very impressed student midwife!
I’m a student midwife, and I can’t even tell you how many people told me I couldn’t get a decent Doppler without paying hundreds of dollars. This one was inexpensive and had tons of good reviews though, so I decided to take a chance while I’m just starting out. I’m so glad I did!! The sound quality is fantastic, just as good or maybe better than my preceptor’s expensive Doppler. I picked up a heartbeat on a mom at 16 weeks the other day! Loud and clear. Wish it was more direct shipping
I love it!!! It works great. I do wish whipping was better. Or the warehouse offered pickup. It just happened to ship from a warehouse about 5 miles away from my house. It then traveled thw state of Maryland before arriving. I know this is not eBay's fault I just wish I could have had it a few days sooner. Super easy to use!
I was using my sisters fetal Doppler but it was useless because the prob is very flat, similar to a computer mouse. I just received this Doppler in the mail today and was so excited to use it. Was told I have an anterior Placentia so May be difficult to hear heartbeat for a while. I found it right away!!! Best money I ever spent. Awesome product coming from OB nurse!
I am an OB nurse and purchased this product for myself. It is very comparable to what is used in office by OB physicians. I was able to locate a fetal heart beat at 9 weeks. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN BUYING- you MUST know how to use it. Early on the baby is very small and very low. Gas, stool, digestion, being overweight etc. can all conceal the baby. It's best to do it in between meals to avoid getting interference from digestion. Once the pregnancy progresses, it becomes much easier to hear. Also, some have commented about the number on the screen not being accurate. This is not just this product. The high end ones we use In the office also aren't always accurate. Any other sounds will throw the counting off. Now that I'm closer to 12 weeks, I can usually get right over baby and get a very loud heartbeat that will register. When in doubt, count the heart rate manually. I saw others recommended YouTube to instruct on how to use this. Definitely this helps! I actually went to YouTube to see if there were reviews of this specific product, and found quite a few informative videos on how to find a fetal heart rate. Overall, this is a great product for moms to be who want to get a listen at their little ones heart beat. But remember, SOME BABIES are turned the wrong way, or moms anatomy makes it hard to find the heartbeat. DO NOT freak out if you cant find it right away early on I've worked as an OB nurse for 14 years and I found it at 9ish weeks for one day and couldnt the next few days. Have patience! Works well. Easy to use. Three different settings for heart tone interpretation. Checked against electronic fetal monitoring system in hospital and was pretty close. Great price. So much static!! Don’t waste your money!
This wouldn’t pick up my baby’s heartbeat, until around 15 weeks along. It has a lot of static and you have to turn it up all the way. You have to suffer loud noise from it while searching for the heartbeat and once you do pick up the heart beat it isn’t loud enough to record. Beware it will make horrible loud noises, when trying to find the heartbeat and if you wear headphones to hear better it will hurt your ears. This is not as good as the dopplers they use at the OBGYN appts. Very disappointing and not worth the money. I was disappointed it can’t record or play the heartbeat loud enough for you to hear, unless you’re in a completely quiet room. Even in a completely quiet room, I could not record the heartbeat on my phone. This product let me down. I bought it at the beginning of the COVID nonsense because I wasn’t able to get an appointment in office and wanted to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Sometimes Difficult to Hear Heartbeat
I really like how this product gives me the ability to check on my baby's health between prenatal appointments. It's definitely worth the money. The only problem is it is sometimes difficult to find the baby's heartbeat. At 12 weeks, I had to press the wand very firmly into my abdomen, borderline on the point of it hurting, in order to be able to pick up the baby's heartbeat. I also had to hold it close to my ear in order to be able to hear the faint sound over all the other loud sounds in my abdomen (including my own heartbeat, which I could hear all over the place). Usually, when it's faint like that, although I can hear the rapid heartbeat, nothing shows up on the monitor. A few weeks later I was able to find the heartbeat quicker and it showed up on the monitor with the beats per minute.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
