About this product

Product Information

With screens almost twice as large as that of the original, the 3DS XL puts Nintendo's vast catalog of game franchises and classic characters, including Mario and Zelda's Link, into your pocket. In addition, the enhanced design includes an added right thumb-stick and L and R buttons on the back. The top screen plays games in 3D without the need for glasses. In fact, you can even watch movies on Netflix or Hulu in 3D with a wireless connection. The second touchscreen and included stylus add game control options. It even includes a camera and a photo editing suite. Activate multiplayer through Nintendo StreetPass, and save data on the 4GB memory card. Additionally, the built-in amiibo support feature gives you the ability to enjoy customized content and characters with amiibo-compatible games.

  • 3ds xl great mobile platform!

Ive taken a major upgrade from the first ds to the newest 3ds xl. its just awesome, the ability to not only download games via the internet instead of using cartridges and being able to try demos of the software before use is a huge plus. The games I have come across are designed well and there are many titles at decent prices that will keep you busy! The bottom screen is very responsive, sound is a good clear quality and the 3d feature is well integrated so it doesnt hurt or strain your eyes after long periods of use. Battery life on continuous use tends to be about 6 hours for me. Witch is pretty damn good. Considering the one i got is a used product it has outperformed my expectations.

  • A Used "New" 3DS XL? Only Nintendo

This system was pretty much exactly as described. It was beautifully taken care of and I've not once noticed the chipped rim while playing. My only complaint is how noticeably different the tints between screens are calibrated. The bottom screen had the same coloration as both screens on my launch day Black edition. The top screen has a definite yellow tint over it. While in 3D mode, the yellow tint, while still visible, is halved. I mostly play Pokemon, which notoriously uses 3D sparingly in order to have a playable game, so I do notice it more often than I might if I were to pop in 3D Land. Truly, it only becomes an issue when a lot of the screen is white. At that point it's unavoidable and will momentarily take me out of a scene. Nothing game destroying, but something I wish I would have known about prior. That said, what I got was a steal on an IPS top panel system owned by someone who took real care of it. I use an IPS phone, had an IPS computer monitor, and interact with IPS screens on a daily basis. And yet it wasn't until I held both my old launch 3DS and new New 3DS XL side by side that I appreciated what having a consistent screen does for the game. Add that along with a 3D stability feature I had heard was good, but couldn't know how game altering it was in a positive way until I tried myself. The two combine for a perfect marriage that reminds me of why I fell in love with the original DS family in 2004. Just like the DS got me to be interested in the gameplay opportunities provided, this has energized me to go back and eventually pick up the games I've missed. To be honest, I can't believe the system was ever released without at least the image stabilization, although having consistent colors for the screen should not be undervalued when we're talking about a system that needs to combine multiple images into one for a 3D effect. What I originally thought was questionable 3D optimization, a sort of dimming and darkening wave when moving position, I now realize as the cost of having a TN screen. It still happens on the bottom screen, albeit to an obviously lesser extent being that it's not necessary for the core feature of the product. I decided years ago that I wouldn't want the XL if it meant the resolution would be off and seem slightly blurred. After using this for some time, I've come to the conclusion that while games are sharper on my launch 3DS, the larger screens help to create a sense that this is the true successor of the DS line. Even with the yellow tint, which I think is possibly just a result of the different screen technologies, this is the ideal version of a 3DS and I can't see myself going back.

  • Nintendo 3ds XL new edition.

What can I write that has not already been said about this wonderful little hand held gaming machine. It is coming to its end of life cycle. What does that mean. Well after this year Nintendo will most likely not support it. What do I care. In the mean while I can enjoy it because people are selling them for a fraction of the new price. People are so concerned about having the new one that they are dumping the 3ds. I love it. I can purchase the machine and the games for pennies of what it cost new. I do not need a brand new one. I am just having a blast playing the games, and for the price you cannot beat it.

  • AMAZING PORTABLE NINTENDO!

Awesome New Nintendo XL, just the right size, I love all the features it has, and I love the color. My boys are 10 and 3 years old, and they just love playing with their 3DS XL. The graphics are amazing, and I myself am addicted to it too. I enjoy playing with my boys Mario Maker, we all take turns. It's fun, and totally entertaining for the entire family. The buttons are easy to use, the screen is just the right size. This Nintendo has internet, so teens can browse, or enjoy YouTube. If I can change one thing, it would be the volume, when I'm browsing online, and playing a video, the volume isn't as loud as I would like it to be, but other than this; the game console is terrific. I love it very much, its mother approved.

  • Great portable system made better

The Nintendo 3DS was already a great system that provided 3D gaming without using glasses. But with the new Amibo toys out Nintendo upped the system with a well deserved upgrade. Now with amibo support built in the graphics are amazing and you even have a few games that only work with the New Nintendo 3DS. If you have a older system you will want to upgrade it.

  • A Very Good System

Product came quickly. Works beautifully. The only flaw is the upper screen but I don't pay much mind to it while I'm playing. The 3D works well, the volume and surround sound is nice. All buttons work perfectly. There are a few knicks and scratches here or there but it's what you'd expect from a pre-owned system. Overall, I am very satisfied with this item.

  • New 3DS good value for the fun

Product is good. Good graphics and fun games. Love the backward compatibility that it has with the DS games. On of my favorite features is the virtual console that allows you to play downloadable older Nintendo games. Overall probably the best of the handheld consoles. The function of the console is good. Had a couple of errors, but was cleared up with an update to the system.

  • New 3DS

The New 3DS is an upgrade to the existing 3DS. Make no mistake, though, it's more than just a new product of the existing platform. I don't know all the specifications, but from what I hear the internal CPU and RAM have been upgraded reducing loading times slightly and making the internet browsing application a little smoother. Also, there are new games releasing in the future that will take advantage of the New 3DS' extra power. Other notable upgrades are the second analog nub that can be used in place of the circle pad pro with certain games. Also the 3D screen now has a camera that tracks your head resulting in a smoother experience with 3D games, meaning the viewing angle has been widened and you no longer have to hold the system perfectly still and center for the 3D effect. It's a great system and after having it for awhile I'm happy I purchased the upgrade. Whether it's worth it to you will all depend on how much you enjoy the original model. While I was happy with mine and didn't think I would need the upgraded features, I do have a lot of 3DS games and the super stable 3D really is a nice feature. The Hyrule Warriors Legends game that comes out in 2016 will only play in 3D on the New 3DS so in the long run this was a necessary upgrade for me.

  • Good size and fun

This is definitely a step up from my first Nintendo DS lite. The screen size is a major improvement and the 3D settings makes for a fun added bonus! I was I bit confused about how the C-stick didn't really move around like a conventional joystick but it still works like one. I really like where the buttons are placed on the newest model as opposed to the first 3DS. I look forward to the new games coming out for this console and the new ways they'll be brought to life!

  • The most fun I've had with a console, hands down

Super fun device, even five years after launch. Despite the limited software support and the presence of newer consoles on the market, I still believe buying one of these bad boys is more than worth it.
