  • This is the one

This stainless steel model is amazing. I used it 3 times since purchase, with great results. It is well built. Worth the extra money over the aluminum models. If you are looking to get into pressure cooking, this Presto model will make you a star in your kitchen. Easy to follow recipes included. Have you meals ready in minutes with more flavor and fall-off-the-bone tenderness.

  • The best pressure cooker!!

This is the best pressure cooker ever!!! Easy to use with the great cook book that comes with this. Assembly was a snap and the size was super to accommodate a whole chicken, roast, ribs etc. depending on size. Stainless steel inside and out. would buy again but in 4-5 qt. size.

  • Good, but Minor Thin Metal, Bulky Handle

I really like this pressure cooker. It's fairly good quality at a fairly reasonable price. I noticed the handles tended to move. I thought they weren't tight, but they were. Then I thought the handles were flexing. No, they are very rigid Bakelite construction. Aha! The metal itself used for the cooker is so thin it flexes a little. I wish it were even .25mm thicker. The handles are large, and feel bulky. They serve dual purposes and must be strong, so I understand. The bottom is heavy and flat, and seems to be warp-proof. I use it mostly on an induction cook top, where it really excels. Highly recommended!

  • Conventional, but good.

It is safe and easy to use. I have use it 2 times already and it works even better than other pressure cookers I had. Easy to assemble too.

  • review presto 6 quart ss pressure cooker

The presto 6 quart ss pressure cooker is the right size because it (and all pressure cookers ) can only be loaded 2/3rds full. The outside finish is beautiful, the long handle doesn't quite fit exactly, but I can fix that. The extra heavy plate on the bottom of the pot seems adequate. it is easy to pour liquids out of it. And, it comes up gleaming from the wash. There are many extra parts for it, steamer baskets, cooking, and pouring lid, see-through lid, and the maker (Presto) makes a hard back recipe book. And with care, it will last a life-time.

  • Simple and durable

A classic, durable pressure cocker. Quality construction without a lot of frills and gadgets that can fail or go wrong. Simple to use. Just heat it up until the pressure regulator starts rocking, set your timer for the cooking time you need, and set the heat so the regulator gently rocks until the end of your cooking time. Make of quality stainless steel so it won't react with the food, no matter what you are cooking. At 6 quarts, it's big enough for almost every cooking need, but not too big that it takes up a lot of storage space. This model has a lock-on strainer lid, allowing you to drain the liquid and keep everything else in the pan. This makes it perfect to use as a regular pan (non-pressure) for things like pasta, so you get double duty out of this well made pot. I still have the cookbook that came with my first Presto pressure cooker (aluminum) I bought almost 50 years ago. Presto definitely makes quality products. I know from my own experience.

  • Worth every penny

Love this beauty. Easy to use and easy to clean. I've already used it a half dozen times. Cooked chicken, pearl barely, rice, potatoes. Steamed broccoli. Also planning on steam canning some half pints of apple sauce in it in a few days. It holds 5 half pints.

  • Very good product.

This is the old style pressure cooker. I got it as "used" so far, it's still functioning well. It's the right size for me and good quality stainless steel , the weight is just right and easy to clean with "cleanser for stainless . I dont know how long will it last, though.

  • great pressure cooker

Great product at a lower price. I have an electric cooker, but it will not hold pressure and a few minutes in, the gasket gapes and it blows steam out like a geiser. Terrifying. I feel safer using the stove top pot. Hopefully the steel will not warp over time.
