Made in America with a built in beer bottle opener.
I've bought one of these before and use it at home, still works great after a few years of home cooked meals! Bought this due to working away from home for an extended period... High quality item... remember that sturdy old beast that mom used for 30 years and still worked? This is it. Not the chinese junk that litters the California beaches and is peddled in too many stores. The built in bottle opener is handy, too! Did I buy a beer bottle opener and get a can opener for free?

Excellent American Made Swing-A-Way Replacement
In 2009, after over seventy years of making the best can opener and making it in the US, the Swing-A-Way company was sold to Focus Products Group who closed the Missouri factory and moved operations to China. For anyone who accidentally bought a Swing-A-Way after the transfer and wondered why it just didn't seem as good, now you know why. The EZ-DUZ-IT is an American made model of the classic Swing-A-Way handheld can opener and delivers beyond expectations. It is well built and sturdy. I am very pleased.

An Old Friend Returns
I SWEAR that this absolute monster is EXACTLY the same can opener we used when I was a Cub and Boy Scout (I made Eagle Scout, I'm now 70). Back then, that old trooper would easily conquer anything we kids threw at it, and my new baby feels and operates EXACTLY the same way. It's good exercise for these old hands, and 100% AMERICAN MADE.

Very sturdy and works great.
Can opener is such a simple item but so hard to find one that works without issues. After using the same one for over 20 years had to get a new one. After buying 3 different ones in 4 months and all failed (bought most expensive ones at walmart) Decided to order EZ DUZ IT can opener thinking it was the brand i originally had. This opener works great, nice and solid, no regrets.

Very disappointed!
Having had a nearly identical looking American made opener produced by veterans in Arkansas but now apparently not available, I thought this one was likely made by someone who purchased the original company and the product would be equally as good - the best I ever owned. MISTAKE! This item, specifically the one I have tried, is definitely inferior. I first noticed multiple cans that helpers had opened in my kitchen that were partially cut, ragged edges, and a mess. To see for myself the problem I attempted to open a new can. No Success. The opener, tightly clamped onto the can, wouldn't even penetrate the lid. When the crank was turned it did finally break the lid a small place or two, but is worthless as a can opener. Upon investigation I saw that there was space left between the cutter wheel and the backstop wheel, a NO NO! Then I took my old can opener and found that, even after long use, has no space between the two wheels. It still cuts perfectly every time. I can throw this new one away, but I'm embarrassed that I bought two, one for me and one for a neighbor, to whom I gave it a high recommendation. Now I must go and apologise, then begin a new search for a good, long-lasting can opener. Perhaps I got a bad one but if so a shadow of doubt has been cast that scares me away.

Just like the old USA made Swing-A-Way
It does what you expect a can opener to do.. open cans. No hassle, it just does it's job.. over and over and over again. Everyone needs one of these can openers. They are made out of metal parts, and really built to last. You will save money starting with a good can opener the first time. Perfect wedding/housewarming gift.. or a perfect gift for anyone that doesn't already have a made in USA can opener. This is the second one I've purchased as a gift. I'm fairly certain the original Swing-A-Way company is making these EZ-Duz-It can openers now (Swing-A-Way brand was sold to a China-based company and now Swing-A-Way can openers are built like trash).

Opening cans have never been easier! Now I sit around in the evening times opening cans just for fun! I never knew opening cans could be so easy. My wife sometimes asks me to stop wasting food, but then she sees the smile on my face, and she jumps into the enjoy the fun as well. On weekends, the kids even jump in also. We take turns opening cans and sometimes even have speed competitions. I ordered the can opener with the Flaming red handle. My friends are jealous of my can opener! Losers. One may say that I am the can opening hero on my country block. Every once in awhile a neighbor will stop by with one of those large cans to ask for my assistance.
