Started using the Dewalt for framing the basement. Works great, although heavy. Used a 6mh battery and easily used it all day. Rating it 4 stars only due to the weight. So keep that in mind. I have an air compressor so I could have bought a framing nail gun, Which would have been lighter. However then would have to deal with the noise, and moving around the framing with the hose.

  • WV Carpenter

Already had 20 V batteries and chargers and about eight other tools that uses the same battery is this nail gun. The only nails I found that fit this gun locally are at Lowe’s and they are the 30° pass load nails. This nail gun works great I keep it on the greatest setting, which I think is 2 because it on the lesser setting the nails stuck out. Love the attached hook for tool belt or 2x4 framing, I used it on sawmill lumber and it works good. The jamb mechanism works fine but battery removal is necessary-to reset the gun, I used a pad load for years and this beats it hands down because you don’t have to mess, or buy gas cartridges. Keep your gun nails dry and rust free to prevent jamming, only holds one Rick of nails, but that makes it extremely portable.

  • Great for longer nails

Great nailer for anything over 2" nails. Drives 3" nails into SYP on speed 2 flawlessly but 2" nails into the same material on speed 1 jams all the time or leaves the nail 3/4" out of the wood. I put it back on speed 2 and backed off on the depth and haven't had any problems since. Be advised that speed 1 must be for only soft materials. Great on the battery! I put risers on an entire staircase and still had 2 out of 3 bars on the battery. All in all a good product. I'd give it 5/5 stars if the shorter nails drove on speed 1 as the instructions state.

  • Cordless nailer

This is a great nailer the only trouble I’ve had with it was on the rapid fire it off and shoots double which could be user error single shots I’ve had no problems with jams or anything as I’ve read on the earlier reviews. I’ve been very happy with the quality battery life everything with this nailer

  • lacks power

its in great shape and seams good quality however in the low speed setting it doesnt have the power to drive the nail in deep but in the 2nd gear it works fine to do the set but i havent tried it on the larger nails and on the rapid set fire mode it wont set the second or 3rd nail deep enought

  • Works good.

Used it yesterday. Just a couple jams. Knocked out all that I wanted to accomplish. Wouldn’t have been able to without the nail gun.

  • See if it holds up.

Several strips of nails used and it performs pretty well. I’ve had good luck with other Dewalt tools so I’m optimistic of its quality.

  • Great tool

Dewalt tools are all very well made. This nailer is no exception. Handles off brand nails well and sets the nail as deep as you want. I have used it quite a bit and has not failed me yet.

  • DeWalt 20v Nail gun

Like the nailer. 2 speeds make it versatile. Easy to use. Most of my tools are DeWalt 20v, so this cordless nailer fits right in.

Aw man, life is so much easier now. No compressor, no hose, no cords to drag around. I don't do this stuff for fun, I do it for a living. And now my job is easier. Are there certain circumstances where the air guns are still needed? Yes... But 98% of the time I can grab a battery and go. Buy it, you will thank yourself later
