This Hamilton Khaki King Automatic has the best day-of-the-week display I've ever seen, high enough that never blocked by the hour or minute hand. But Quartz models have a lower display just like some Omegas and Rolexes that will be partially blocked by the minute hands at some point. Day and Date discs somehow trigger each other and "click" simultaneously about 3 minutes before 12am, not like most others that either one of them turns first, and then the other does 1 to 2 hours later. Automatic movement keeps excellent time like an Omega. 5-star if the size is bigger.

Plenty of positives: accurate time, great legibility, nice size, good movement, and an excelent day/date complication Negatives: crown sometimes gets stuck in the second position and is difficult to fix, day window gets stuck, and the hand winding feature isn't particularly smooth. Like I said, nitpicks that only cause minor problems on occasion. For only a few hundred dollars this watch is a great value

This is a great Swiss watch. The American field styling with and accurate, durable mechanical build is a perfect pairing. Pleasant price point. The added power reserve is a big plus for me.

A heritage time piece with historical Swiss craftsmenship. The watch is sober yet elegant in its design and functionality. The 40mm case diameter makes it a perfect size for a classic look. The day/date over the 12 o'clock marker adds an attractive appeal to the black dial. The elongated sweeping second hand allows for clear and visibile reading. This model boasts a pretty display caseback and looks great together with its brown handcrafted leather strap. I would have liked to see a screw down crown and a 200 meter water resistant rating. Also, I think the lume is not so bright and could have been upgraded. All in all, this is a fantastic watch considering Hamilton's watchmaking history, its Swiss Automatic movement, and the quality packed into this watch really has few rivals at this price range.
