Light weight and easy to use.
This is the 3rd identical trimmer I have bought. It is light weight, cuts well in the average yard and is durable. The first two were just worn-out as I have a lot of trimming and edging to do. I wish It could be extended a little longer in length but I manage. I also wish Black and Decker would increase the life of the batteries. They seem to underperform other batteries.

Handy light weight weed eater. No pulling a cord to start. Runs much quieter than gas powered.
I had hostas that needed to be trimmed for fall . Weed eater worked just fine. Battery did die in 20 minutes but was working very hard. I had an extra battery so it was no big deal. Loved the light weight and handiness of it weed eater. Much easier to deal with that gas powered pull cord.

Buy the LST 522 instead.
Used this one once and was pretty good except it started to shot out the string for no reason. Also bought the LST 522 which is a much better unit that I bought thru CPO and it cost less and has more features.

Good for small jobs but when used as edger, the edge guide leaves a little to be desired.
This product is what I expected and have used it satisfactorily. It is somewhat weak for big jobs but with perseverance, and more than one charged battery, it gets the job done.
