Great for DIYers. Replaces old wire nuts with better security. New 221s are small and compact. Easy to use as these have levers to lock and unlock wires. Works both on solid and stranded wires. I use the three conductors to connect two wires and create a pigtail to my individual GFCIs. Note that the levered wires may rotate in the connectors as you push them back into the outlet boxes. All in all a safer way to connect multiple wires. Remember to buy the larger packs of 50 to save money. Home Depot only sold the other brand connectors which are one time use only.

It's unfortunate that the 2017 review by webkruzer is filled with ignorance. The box CLEARLY states what wire it is compatible with, and its current rating. Because the reviewer doesn't know where to look it does not make it a poor product! If done correctly, there is more than enough force to complete the flow of electrons needed for the current rating. That is why they were tested by numerous agencies for safety around the globe and passed the test. In NO WAY should there be any strain or movement of wires in a generator panel, or ANY connection point: ignorance! The point of a wire nut is to cover the wires that have been properly twisted together prior to placing it on them. If properly done, cut to length, and securely covered with the wire nut, there would be NO need for tape too. This is DRASTIC ignorant and useless overkill!!!! This ancient method has been updated and made safer with the lever wire connector. Just as wire nuts helped to replace soldering and tape, enjoy the ease of quickly and safely connecting your electrical wires with WAGO connectors. Read full review

Awesome high quality product. Using the Wago connectors for the first time and it was so easy to connect the replacement lighting fixture on my deck. When I took out the previous light fixture, I had to cut the wire as the old screw method had damaged the wire. Next time I have to replace the light fixture, I don't have to cut the cable and make it shorter. The product is a little pricey but I guess as it becomes more popular the cost might reduce.

The concept is good for the right application. The IT guys use them in control panels for industrial use and seem to like them, I don't know what size, type wire or loads they work with. I wanted them to use in my electrical panels box to hook up my generator transfer switch. I have 12 ga and 14 ga wires to tie into. I carefully inspected them and even cut one open to inspect better. On solid wire they don't give me the clamping security I would like. I tried stranded wire and they held better, since my panel box is solid wire only I won't use them, I'll wire nut them and tape as well.
