I have recently purchased this Seachem Tidal 110 Filter for my 55 gallon tank. This filter has a noticeable flow control, and space for a lot of biological, chemical and mechanical filtration. I like the additional skimmer towards the top, and the clip for the aquarium heater is a plus. I have an Aquaclear 50 on my 20 gallon tank, but I think that this filter is slightly better. 5 stars + in my experience.

Performance is tops. Water is clear in no time after water changes. Power goes out don't worry it is self priming. Cleans so easy. Put. What you want to in the removable filtering container. I am so pleased with it I'm going to order a smaller one for a quarantine tank.

I have tried all kinds of filters on my fish tanks over the years. This by far has to be the easiest one to change filter media. It has very good flow and the filter basket holds large amounts of media. All you have to do is put the media in the bags. You can control the flow and it even tells you when it is time to change/clean the filter media. Very quiet and you can adjust the flow and control the intake either through the siphon tube or skimmer or both. So far it seems to be superior even to my Aquaclear filters. Time will tell if it is reliable or not.

I replaced a Aquaclear 110. Too noisy and the media basket would float up dripping water getting my wall moldy. The tidal is easy to use and the structure is made of plastic that won’t crack like the Aquaclear. So far I’m liking it.
