Pokéholics are encouraged to take their adventurous spirit away from the DS and into the great outdoors with the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver. Each version is bundled with a "Pokéwalker" accessory, which tracks your steps on an LCD display. Every step you take earns you "Watts," a type of energy used to capture wild Pokémon or to locate hidden items from within the Pokéwalker. Any captured creatures or acquired items can then be transferred to the main HeartGold or SoulSilver cartridge for use in the game. As an added bonus, Pokémon that have been downloaded to the Pokéwalker will earn experience points while you walk, allowing the creatures to gain one level after being transferred into the main game. Two Pokéwalkers can also wirelessly communicate with one another for trading purposes. Gameplay in HeartGold and SoulSilver is mirrored after Pokémon: Gold Version and Pokémon: Silver Version on Game Boy Color. Players will return to the Johto region for more exploring and turn-based combat with Pokémon creatures, albeit with improved visuals and added touch-screen support.

Best Gen. IV Pokémon Game
This game is excellent, I'm sad that some of the mechanics in this game did not continue in future generations, such as walking with your Pokemon and use of the PokéWalker accessory. Gen. IV is my second favorite Pokemon generation behind Gen. V, and if you're interested in playing a Gen. IV game, HeartGold & SoulSilver will not disappoint.

Worn but Good
Sometimes the 3DS doesn't read the cartridge when you first put it in. You have to readjust it until it shows up at times. Other than that it seems to run fine and I believe it's a legitimate/genuine copy of the game. The cartridge is worn and clearly shows sign of previous use. That was as expected/shown in pictures. It's not perfect but it's good value for the price (considering Heart Gold can go for above 200 dollars in some places).

For those looking for an authentic DS pokemon game, this is a great choice.
The game played as it was intended and i was able to transfer my Pokemon from this game to Pokemon platinum version, then Pokemon black version and finally, Pokemon ultra sun. DEFINITELY AUTHENTIC. Very pleased.

A game for new and old fans
This game (and its counterpart SoulSilver) are remakes of the Pokemon games Gold and Silver, originally release for the GameBoy Color. They capture the spirit of the original games quite nicely, with plenty of "new" features that keep their playability high. Enhanced colors, graphics and gameplay make the journey through the Johto region very exciting. And the inclusion of 400+ Pokemon, including those found in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum make for a good variety.

Heart Gold is one of the best remakes for a Pokemon game
Truly one of the best reboots the Pokemon company has done, including Soul Silver. This game takes the original game and adds in more modern quality of life improvements to make the game even better than the originals, while taking nothing away from them. Only Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire come close to the quality as Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl were terrible quality.

My favorite entry in one of my favorite series. It is an epic. The ability to play through two regions is the best draw. Also, this is a remake of Pokemon games when they were more about game play and exploration than story, which has its merits.

Really Amazing!!!!
I am having a very Amazing time with the game. The pokewalker just needed a battery change. Pokewalker has little scratches, But everything else is very good. It came earlier than expected I'm not complaining haha. This game brings back so many memories as a young child i loved the pokewalker and the mechanics where they allow your pokemon to walk with you. I'll take very very very great care of this. Its the real deal
Probably the most expensive video game I ever bought, but it was worth it. Still $100 cheaper then sold on retro game sites like DKOldies. Game works perfectly, and case is in great condition. Never got to play any of the Pokemon remakes so this is great, not looking forward to that Miltank boss fight though (assuming its just as annoying as the original gold version).

A great remake of a great game
I played the original pokemon gold and loved it, now with heart gold, I can still enjoy the game but also enjoy some of the newer-ish systems from later generations. The graphics are on par with nintendo ds games.
