Excellent for the price
This little gun safe is perfect for my XDS .45 . Might not be what you want if you had a full size .45 though. It would fit , but would be tight. I fit my hand gun and one 50 round box of ammo in the safe. The main reason I bought this safe is to make sure nobody else can get to my gun. Especially children. Mounted my safe on my bedroom wall behind the door. Obviously if someone does break into your house though and sees the safe. They won't have too much of a problem taking the safe and getting into at a later time. Unfortunately , I've seen a video on YouTube that shows a straw being used to easily open the safe. Great little gun safe.
Nice small gun safe. I was at first worried about what happened if the batteries that open up the lock mechanism failed. Manufacture thought of a way out by using a 9 volt battery and touching it to the contacts to over ride the dead batteries. Buttons are easy read and use. Overall a nice quality. easy to work in the dark. But one of the batteries fell out of the holder, and I had to stop and buy a 9v to get in. Luckily, I had the default combo handy or I would not have been able to get in. Thick metal pistol safe at a great price when compared to the brick and mortar retail stores charging twice the price or more. Easily mounted, programmed, etc. You can set your own personal code too. The only drawback is that if you do the factory code still works.
