  • Monroe Load Lifter Rear Shocks

Installed on 2012 Ford F150 FX4 3.5L Turbo with little issue other than figuring out how to jack truck up high enough to install. Finally got it and here are the instructions. Step 1. Chock front wheels. 2. Loosen and remove left n right bottom, rear shock bolts noting installation direction. 3. Loosen top bolts and remove and remove shocksnoting position and routing through brake lines. 4. Get 2 10" 4x4 and place them under frame just towards rear of frame that is close to the ground. If doing left shock, also chock right rear wheel. 5. Using std. Ford jack placed on top of blocks and under frame, raise left rear of truck 5" and install the new shock into top socket. Snug bolts but don't torque. 6. Keep jacking up truck frame until lower socket aligns with lower shock mount and install bolt and snug. 6. Lower track back to ground and torque bolts to mfg specs. 7. Repeat for other side and you are done. After 1st drive of 10+ miles, re-torque bolts. Shocks raise rear of truck almost 2" and should increase capacity 1000lbs for towing. I will be on a long tow with our 8000lb camper next week and will update my review. So far very happy!

  • Great

Works great for the price. Helps my truck stay level when towing my jeep. Stiffens up the ride a little. If you are running stock rim displacement with bigger tires beware that the shock reduces clearence.
